He began his career by crafting impeccable shoe designs in the atelier at the basement of his cottage. He was renowned for his eclectic and contemporary creations, where his art of shoemaking led to critical acclamations from the wealthier class.

Care for Leather Shoes
Just like your own skin, leather shoes also needs proper care – regularly cleaned and kept moisturized to maintain its great looking shape. We recommend tips for you on how to keep your leather shoes, conditioned, protected, polished and well cleaned.
- For cleaning, brush off dirt with a horsehair brush or a damp cloth. If it requires intense clean, lather it with a saddle soap using a paper towel or damp cloth – wipe the excess soap on the shoes and air dry. If you need to clean laces as well, remove it from shoes and hand wash it with your preferred detergent and warm water. Makes sure laces are completely dry before putting it back on your leather shoes.
- For conditioning, using a horsehair brush or a soft cloth, apply leather conditioner that you can buy in your local store and gently rub in your shoes’ uppers. Please take note on choosing a conditioner, make sure it Color-matched your shoes so that cover-ups for small scratches, cuffs and scrapes is effective. Then air dry.
- For polishing, apply your preferred polish wax using horseshoe brush or soft cloth in a circular motion. Air dry then buff using a clean cloth or paper towel. For an extra shine, just repeat.
- For protection, never use heat to dry your leather shoes, store them in a room temperature and allow then to air dry. Don’t use alcohol-based or acetone to clean the shoe as this will remove the finish. If you have hinted or dyed your leather shoes, protect with an acrylic finisher which can also be purchased in you local shoe store and clean them with a damp cloth.
